Guest Services has successfully used PeopleSoft since 1999. During an upgrade from PeopleSoft Financials 8.4 to 9.1, the company realized that its version of PeopleSoft didn’t support the free payroll tax, legal and regulatory updates that its previous vendor provided. As Guest Services looked for alternatives to paying $50,000 annually for compliance updates, it discovered that Rimini Street bundles them in with its PeopleSoft support program at no extra charge.
Rimini Street Solution
Guest Services made the decision to transition to independent support with Rimini Street during the middle of its upgrade to PeopleSoft Financials 9.1. In addition to providing support through the upgrade, Rimini Street engineers helped Guest Services determine the programs and objects it was entitled to that it needed to archive for PeopleSoft 9.2 so the company wouldn’t be frozen on 9.1 if it chooses to upgrade when the time is right. After Guest Services completed the Financials upgrade, it forged ahead to upgrade PeopleSoft HR from 8.8 to 9.1. The company has now stabilized its PeopleSoft environment and has a solid, stable PeopleSoft 9.1 system in place for the foreseeable future.
