The birth of a child should be one of the most exciting and joyful times in a person’s life. However, many new parents or soon-to-be parents live in poverty, are homeless or at-risk, or are working numerous jobs just to survive. Combining these dire financial straits with a critical lack of education, resources, and proper supplies can turn a joyous new arrival into an overwhelming hardship. No one should have to decide between buying diapers for their newborn or buying food for their whole family.
Kim Amato saw the effect of this hardship in her own community in Las Vegas and created Baby’s Bounty to empower struggling families with access to the tools and knowledge that they need to help them manage life as parents and care for their new child. Baby’s Bounty provides education on infant care, post-partum conditions for parents, and Baby Bundles full of diapers, clothing, and other supplies such as car seats and cribs.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, they have created a groundbreaking program called the Diaper Bank that provides diapers for 1,000 families a month. This program is the only consistent diaper resource in all of Southern Nevada. Rimini Street partnered with Baby’s Bounty for our 15 Year Milestone Celebration and donated 20,000 diapers, 900 reusable, washable masks for adults and children, as well as hygiene essentials to contribute to their mission of providing “a good start for every baby.” Baby’s Bounty are a tremendous resource for struggling families in the Las Vegas area and we are honored to support their important programs, especially during these most difficult times.
