Every Oracle EBS licensee running the 12.1 release will lose full support from Oracle by December 2021, potentially putting their businesses at risk if they do not take action. This is forcing a choice: remain with the 12.1 release when Oracle 12.1 support moves to Sustaining Support; complete an EBS upgrade from 12.1 to 12.2, potentially costing several million dollars; purchase temporary and less-comprehensive 12.1 support extensions; or move to the cloud. Although EBS 12.2 was released several years ago, it is still not widely adopted, leaving licensees to wonder how much new value is being delivered by Oracle for existing EBS software. And for many IT organizations, there are much more urgent priorities these days than having to make an EBS decision of this magnitude and expense. In this 30-minute on-demand webinar, Rimini Street discusses critical factors that Oracle EBS licensees should consider before: committing to an EBS upgrade from 12.1 to 12.2, spending even more for less Oracle 12.1 support, or moving to Oracle Cloud. Third-party support is also discussed as a solution to free up scarce IT resources and take back control of the EBS roadmap.
